On October 24, 2023 Bonners Ferry staff presented a PowerPoint presentation to Mayor, City Council and the attending community members. In this presentation the staff also outlined what their recommendations were to the Mayor and Council. The City Attorney was also present to answer any legal questions. After the presentation and public comments, the staff began to discuss their options and slowly formed a plan.
The Council voted:
• Voted YES for the City Of Bonners Ferry to run Mirror Lake Golf Course with an independent contractor structure.
• Voted YES to direct staff to submit a call for applicants (job posting) with the input from the current golf contractor and the Mayor. Watch on the PGA’s website, Mirror Lake Golf Course’s website and City of Bonners Ferry’s website.
• The committee that will be interviewing the applicants was tabled for the time being. Also, the vote to dismantle the current committee was tabled.
